I often find myself discussing blocks and the concept of seven-year cycles, perhaps to the point of repetition! However, delving into and releasing subconscious blockages isn't as daunting as it may seem. Reflecting on my experiences from what feels like a century ago, when I was learning past life regression, regression therapy was often likened to opening a can of worms. Interestingly, many clinical hypnotherapists shy away from practicing or teaching it, which often led to me taking on the role of educator in this area. Understanding our past is crucial for understanding who we are today. Change inevitably brings challenges into our lives, often propelling us in new directions where our egos may not have much influence. As Carl Jung famously said, "The shadow exists as part of the unconscious mind and is composed of repressed ideas, weaknesses, desires, instincts, and shortcomings." Lately, I've observed a common theme among my clients and friends: significant life changes, particularly job transitions aimed at achieving a more balanced lifestyle. While prioritizing passion, fun, and creativity may seem like the obvious choice, navigating through change often involves contending with our inner critic, which can undermine our efforts to live the life we truly deserve. Many seek healing to move forward, but even after healing, the shadow of our past experiences tends to linger. Consciously acknowledging and confronting our suppressed truths allows us to confront our past traumas and move forward unburdened. Shadow work, a term often used in psychology, involves exploring the disowned parts of our personality that originated in childhood and were shaped by our upbringing. These shadow aspects manifest as triggers—emotional reactions and behaviors that we may not even be aware of until they're triggered by certain situations. Triggers serve as valuable clues, revealing our inner wounds and providing opportunities for self-healing. By observing our triggers without judgment, we can identify repetitive patterns and gradually heal and integrate our shadows, reducing their impact on our lives. Integration is the goal of shadow work. By shining a light on our shadows and accepting them without judgment, we diminish their power over us. Spending time alone to reflect on our childhood experiences can help us identify our shadow selves and set intentions for healing and integration. Ultimately, shedding light on our inner darkness allows us to move forward unburdened by past traumas, embracing all aspects of ourselves with compassion and self-acceptance. #ShadowWork #PersonalGrowth #SelfDiscovery #Transformation #HealingJourney #EmbraceYourself #SelfAcceptance #Empowerment #SelfAwareness #Mindfulness #InnerStrength #OvercomeObstacles #BreakFree #UnlockPotential #InnerPeace #WellnessJourney #LifeTransformation #SelfLove #PositiveChange #HealingProcess
