 **A Ghostly Encounter: The Day That Changed My Future**

One day, after questioning why I couldn't see spirits and whether they were real, I set off to photograph a rural Helensville property to let. As a property manager at the time, I had no idea that what happened that day would change the course of my future.

It wasn't until I got home and started uploading the images for rental that I noticed the figure of a Māori woman standing behind a fence in one of the photos. "I thought, hang on. There was no one standing there when I took the photo," I recalled, feeling a chill run down my spine.

Curious and a bit unsettled, I contacted a friend who had accompanied me to the property and asked if she had seen anyone there. She confirmed that she had not; the land behind the fence had been empty.
